Extra credit blog:Experience of taking English classes, learning Wiki technology and adapting to life in Korea---HUANG YANHAN

As a Chinese student, my experiences studying and living in Korea have been both challenging and rewarding. One of the first challenges I faced was taking English courses, which focused on academic skills and practical application. At first, I struggled with specialized terminology and cultural differences, but these challenges taught me to seek help and use resources to improve my understanding.

Adapting to life in Korea was another significant part of my journey. The language barrier was initially intimidating, but through language exchange programs and daily practice, I gradually became more comfortable with communication. Establishing routines, such as visiting local restaurants that served familiar food and mastering public transportation, helped me feel more integrated into my new environment.

Learning wiki technology was an eye-opening experience. Initially, I wasn’t familiar with the platform, but through group projects and collaborative tasks, I learned how to contribute and edit content effectively. This improved my teamwork skills and boosted my confidence in academic and social settings.

To enhance the experience of international students, I suggest universities provide more language support programs and cultural exchange activities to help students adapt more quickly. Additionally, incorporating training on digital tools, especially at the beginning of the semester, could help students manage collaborative projects with greater ease.

Overall, this journey has been full of challenges but also immense personal growth. With a few improvements, international students can have a smoother transition and more fulfilling experiences.
