One of the most prominent ways globalization affects politics is through economic policies. Globalization facilitates the flow of goods, services, capital, and labor across borders, prompting nations to adopt policies that promote economic integration. For example, there is the European Union (EU), showcases how political decisions are made to enhance economic cooperation and competition on a global scale.

However, this economy can be affected by other countries.


Globalization challenges traditional notions of national sovereignty. International organizations like the United Nations (UN), the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) play crucial roles in mediating global issues, from trade disputes to climate change. These organizations, by influencing national policies, sometimes limit the autonomy of individual states. For instance, Korea also had IMF economic crisis. 


Globalization also affects political dynamics through cultural and social exchanges. The widespread dissemination of information and ideas via the internet and media fosters a more interconnected world where cultures blend and influence each other. This cultural globalization can lead to political movements advocating for human rights, democracy, and social justice, as seen in the Arab Spring or the global spread of the #MeToo movement.
