 Political globalization often spreads democratic ideals and governance models, yet it can also spark conflicts over cultural and ideological differences. Sovereignty becomes a contentious issue as global norms or agreements may conflict with national priorities. For instance, trade agreements can boost economies but may limit a country’s ability to protect its local industries.

 Globalization further exposes inequalities between developed and developing nations, as wealthier countries tend to dominate global institutions and policies. Nevertheless, it offers smaller nations opportunities to engage in the global political landscape. Critics argue that globalization often prioritizes corporate interests over public welfare, shaping political agendas in ways that may not benefit the majority.

 Despite these challenges, globalization strengthens interdependence among nations, underscoring the importance of collective action in addressing global issues. Politics determines the pace and direction of globalization, while globalization reshapes political systems. This reciprocal relationship is a defining feature of the modern world.
