This has led to the increasingly important role of international institutions such as the United Nations, the World Trade Organization (WTO), and the World Bank.

Due to globalization, many countries have started to refer to and learn from the models of other countries in their political governance. For example, concepts such as democratic systems and human rights protection are increasingly being accepted by more and more countries through global dissemination.

Globalization has given rise to many multilateral agreements and international treaties, such as the Paris Climate Agreement and the World Trade Organization, to address the transnational challenges brought about by globalization.

Globalization has made national borders more open, and the free flow of capital, information, and technology poses a challenge to traditional national sovereignty. For example, multinational corporations may influence a country's economic policies in certain aspects, while international agreements may limit a country's decision-making freedom in certain areas.
