There is a very close and complex relationship between politics and globalization, and the two are intertwined and profoundly influencing each other.

At the national level, political decision-making plays a crucial and decisive role in the globalization process. Taking trade policy as an example, the tariff policy formulated by a country directly reflects its political orientation's intervention in the economic level of globalization. When raising tariffs, this political decision will undoubtedly hinder the free circulation of goods around the world to a large extent, making the cost of transnational trade increase significantly, and then impact the original global trade pattern and industrial chain. On the contrary, if countries actively participate in the signing of various free trade agreements and reduce trade barriers through consultation and cooperation at the political level, this will greatly promote the accelerated flow of economic factors in the world, inject strong impetus into economic globalization, and become a powerful lever to promote the process of globalization.

At the same time, the wave of globalization has brought many unprecedented challenges and opportunities to national politics. The vigorous rise and rapid development of transnational corporations in the world is one of the remarkable features of globalization. These multinational giants, with their strong economic strength and extensive global layout, will challenge the economic sovereignty of the state to a certain extent. Their business decisions, fund transfers and profit distribution and other activities often cross national borders, making the state face new problems in the traditional areas of economic control. However, a series of global problems derived from globalization, such as the ecological crisis caused by climate change and the security threat caused by transnational crimes, have forced governments to seek solutions through international political cooperation platforms.
