Reading 2:What is the relation between culture and globalization?——SHU YING
The relationship between culture and globalization is closely intertwined, as globalization facilitates cultural exchange and integration while also raising concerns about cultural diversity and preservation.
1.Cultural diffusion: Globalization speeds up the spread of cultures through technology, media, and the internet, such as Hollywood films or K-pop music gaining worldwide popularity.
2.Cultural blending and clash: It promotes cultural fusion but can also lead to conflicts and a need for protecting local cultures.
3. Cultural diversity and homogenization: While promoting diversity, globalization can also lead to cultural homogenization, putting smaller or traditional cultures at risk.
In short, globalization helps cultures spread and connect, but it also creates challenges in preserving local traditions and maintaining cultural diversity as the world becomes more alike.
