WHAT IS GLOBALIZATION? ——ZHUANG MINA
Globalization refers to the process by which countries, regions and peoples are interconnected and interdependent in the economic, social, cultural, technological and political spheres. It involves communication, interaction, and integration on a global scale, bringing people, organizations, and countries around the world closer together in many ways.
The core features of globalization include:
Economic globalization: The economies of countries are closely linked through trade, investment, financial flows and transnational corporations. Globalization has facilitated the formation of global markets and facilitated the free movement of goods, capital and labour.
Cultural globalization: the dissemination and exchange of cultural products, values and customs on a global scale. Globalization has made it easier for people in different countries and regions to access and understand other cultures, promoting cultural diversity and cross-cultural exchanges.
Globalization of technology: The rapid development of information technology has made information and communication more convenient and global. The global spread of the Internet, mobile communications and digital technologies has accelerated cross-border exchanges and cooperation.
Political globalization: Increasing international organizations and cross-border political cooperation. Global issues, such as environmental protection, climate change, human rights and security, require cooperation among countries.
