What is globalization?----ZHONG QI
The term "globalization" first appeared in the 1960s of the 20th century, and since then, it has been used in both popular and academic literature to describe a process, a state, a system, a force, or an era.
The term "global" conveys a social condition in which economic, political, cultural, and environmental factors are interconnected and flow across the globe, rendering many previously existing boundaries insignificant. However, we must not think that "global" refers to a definite and no longer developing endpoint; on the contrary, the concept refers to a specific social condition - just like any other condition, it is destined to be replaced by a variety of new social conditions with unique essences.
The term "globalization" also refers to a set of social processes that are believed to transform our social condition into a state of globalization. In this sense, the core of globalization lies in the diverse and ever-changing forms of human connections.
In summary, globalization means that global connections are becoming stronger, and humanity is developing and rising to global consciousness on a global scale. Countries depend on each other politically, economically, and in trade. Globalization is a new stage of capitalist development that is closely linked to the development of the internet.
