What is globalization? - ZHANGQI
As a Chinese university student, my understanding of internationalization is gradually deepening. Internationalization, as the name suggests, refers to the gradual expansion of things from local or regional to global scale, covering various aspects such as politics, economy, culture, education, etc. Especially in modern society, the trend of globalization is becoming increasingly prominent, and internationalization is a part of globalization, emphasizing cooperation and communication among countries.
From my perspective, internationalization is primarily reflected in the economic aspect. As a young college student, I can feel the interdependence of the global market. China's economic development cannot be separated from cooperation with other countries, especially through international trade, where we can access goods and technologies from different countries. On the other hand, other countries also rely on China as a production base and market. This interdependence is an important manifestation of economic internationalization, which has driven rapid economic development but also brought challenges, such as the impact of international market fluctuations on domestic markets.
Secondly, internationalization is also reflected in education. In our generation, studying abroad and cross-cultural communication are becoming increasingly common. Many students choose to study abroad not only to receive more advanced education, but also to broaden their horizons and understand different cultures and values. I often communicate with students from other countries through the internet, which makes me realize that different cultural backgrounds bring diverse ways of thinking and expand my understanding of the world.
In the classroom, we can also feel the impact of internationalization. Whether it is curriculum design, textbook selection, or teacher background, elements of internationalization are ubiquitous.
