WANGYIZHE(What is globalization)

Globalization is not limited to the economic sphere; it also encompasses political, cultural and social interactions. Globalization cannot be seen as a single, linear process, but rather as a complex phenomenon involving multiple processes. These processes are intertwined and developing simultaneously, affecting lives around the globe.

One of the central features of globalization is the ever-increasing connectivity between the nations of the world. At the same time, there is a growing global awareness that we live in an interdependent world. While global connectivity fosters international cooperation and exchanges, it also raises many challenges and contradictions.

Globalization does not mean that global integration eliminates local culture, but rather that local culture and global trends interact to produce what is known as "globalization." This is reflected in the adaptation of global brands to local markets, such as McDonald's, which adjusts menus to local tastes in different countries.

Although the term globalization was only widely used at the end of the 20th century, the process of globalization dates back centuries. In particular, after the end of the cold war, the process of globalization accelerated, marking an era of greater interconnectedness in the world.

Globalization has not been entirely positive, and it has led to many inequalities and controversies, particularly in developing countries. The anti-globalization movement focused on the negative impact of globalization on vulnerable groups, the environment and cultural diversity, which also reflected imbalances in the globalization process.

Globalization is a multidimensional and complex process that encompasses profound changes in the economic, cultural, social and political spheres. The key to understanding globalization is to recognize the global connectivity and global awareness it brings, while also taking into account the adaptation of localization and the challenges posed by globalization.
