Waht is Globalization? ----WU SHUHAN

Globalization is a multidimensional and complex process, involving multiple levels such as economy, culture, and politics, which has a profound impact on all aspects of contemporary society. According to Robertson and White's research, globalization is not only reflected in the increase in international trade and capital flows, but also covers the widespread dissemination of culture and ideas. The advancement of science and technology has enabled the rapid spread of information, promoted mutual connection and understanding between different countries and regions, and brought about rich cultural exchanges and collisions of ideas.

However, globalization is not without challenges. It has also exacerbated economic inequality, many developing countries are at a disadvantage in the global market, and the distribution of resources and wealth needs to be addressed urgently. In addition, the risk of cultural homogenization has put traditional culture in some places at risk of disappearing, which has triggered deep concerns about cultural diversity. At the political level, globalization has led to deeper cooperation between countries, but it has also posed new challenges to national sovereignty, especially when dealing with global issues such as climate change and public health crises. Countries need to work together to find effective ways to balance national interests with global responsibilities.

In general, globalization is a process full of opportunities and challenges. Understanding its complexity and multidimensionality is crucial for us to find a path to sustainable development in this rapidly changing world.
