Waht is Globalization? ----QIAN ZIYI

It is generally believed that exchanges among countries around the world are increasing and are moving towards integration. But the essence of globalization is global capitalism.

It involves political, economic and cultural aspects, affecting social structure, daily life and various ideologies. Awareness and research on globalization is therefore an important task for the intellectual community as a whole.

Globalization occurs not only in the economic field, but also in many areas such as politics, military, and culture, but in these areas the degree of globalization is lower than in the economic field. Military globalization refers to the use or control of military violence on a global scale, such as the two world wars and the restraint of the international community on the conduct of war.

The low degree of political globalization is mainly manifested in three aspects: the general establishment of nation-states, the popularization of democratic institutions and the dissemination of some basic political consensus. There are reservations about political globalization owing to widespread fears among Governments, particularly developing countries, that political globalization will erode and weaken their sovereignty.
