Kang Taeho (What is globalization?)
Globalization was first defined by sociologist Roland Robertson as "pressing the world and strengthening the consciousness of the whole world." Since then, globalization has been defined in various fields such as economy, geography, culture, politics, and health. Typically, the WHO defines globalization as "increased interconnectivity and interdependence between people and countries."
There are various examples of globalization, but there are examples of globalization of culture, politics, and economy. An example of cultural globalization is K-POP that people all over the world are listening to. In the case of politics, the case of multiple countries receiving trade or military support can be seen as the globalization of politics. In the case of economy, currency exchange, FTA, stocks, etc. can be seen as the globalization of the economy.
Although the theoretical definition exists as above, I believe that globalization is a case where the world can share everything without limitation in category without limitation in space-time.
There are both positive and negative views on globalization. There are some positive aspects that various things can be shared with each other, but there are also negative views that it can be eroded by certain things. Recently, I believe that globalization is not achieved by globalization, but by large countries such as the United States and China. However, overall, I think globalization is positive. When it comes to food, for example, Tanghulu in China has changed into a food using various fruits when it came to Korea. It is not limited to these newly emerged cultures, but it is also believed that there are many cases where it develops further and changes anew. So I think globalization is very positive. But I also think it can be perceived negatively in certain areas. Thank you.
